Small Batch 5 The Pine & Pear Trail Set

The Pine & Pear Trail Set was inspired by my hikes through Minnesota and Wisconsin with my best buddy, Ovi — the kind of hikes that leave you a little sweaty, a little sun-kissed, happily tired, and somehow more yourself than when you started.

If you know summer trails in the Midwest, you know the feeling. The woods are alive. The bugs come with the territory, especially along rivers, near still water, and on those green, overgrown stretches where the path feels a little wild. And if you hike late enough, there’s the added magic of lightning bugs — tiny lanterns blinking through the trees, impossible not to notice, impossible not to chase with the same wonder you had as a kid. The air is thick with trees, heat, and that delicious ozone smell that seems to rise after a long walk through sun and shade. By the end, your body is ready to exhale, your mind is quieter, and your skin still holds the memory of warm air and open sky.

That feeling is what inspired this set.

The places that keep calling us back:

Some of the places that shaped this set are the dog-friendly hikes Ovi and I keep going back to: Crosby Farm Regional Park (MN) for peaceful shade and Mississippi River views (we find nice-sized agates along the shoreline, too!), Interstate State Park (WI) for its dramatic St. Croix overlooks and rock formations, Willow River State Park (WI) for the beautiful falls, sandsotone gorges, and beautiful, rare snakes - yes, snakes! (don’t worry, they’re harmless), Afton State Park (MN) for rolling hills and prairie beauty, and William O’Brien State Park for those slower, quieter mental-reset days.

Each trail has its own mood. Some feel adventurous. Some feel calming. Some leave your legs reminding you what you asked them to do the next morning. All of them carry that unmistakable mix of trees, water, summer heat, bugs, movement, and relief.

The Trail Set

The Trail Set includes two handcrafted 10ml roller blends:

#47 Trail Companion

A fresh, grounded blend created with the trail itself in mind. Made with Texas cedarwood, lemon eucalyptus, lemongrass, lavender, rosemary, patchouli, and jojoba, and infused with dried lavender and lemongrass, this blend was designed for the beginning of the adventure, when the leash is clipped, the day is open, and the woods are calling. The oils in this blend are commonly used to naturally repel insects, making it a beautiful companion for river paths, wooded trails, and warm-weather wandering.

#48 After the Trail

A softer, calming blend created for the exhale after the hike. Made with lavender, Roman chamomile, frankincense, cedarwood, rosemary, rose absolute, and jojoba, and infused with dried lavender and Albizia flower, this blend was inspired by that end-of-day feeling: legs tired in the best way, skin warm from the sun, nervous system softer, and spirit settled. It’s the quiet part of the adventure, the part where you come home carrying a little bit of the trail with you.

A fundraiser close to my heart

This set is also part of a fundraiser that means a lot to me. 50% of the proceeds go to Otter Lake Off Leash Dog Park in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Otter Lake has brought so much joy into our lives, and I’m grateful for the chance to create something inspired by the outdoors while giving back to a place that means so much to both myself and Ovi.
